Daycare, Preschool & Kindergarten

A Unique Learning Experience

Welcome to Short Stuff & Co.!

Our school has been thoughtfully designed to provide your child with a safe and consistent environment attuned to your child's individual growth and development. We are aware that as parents, you are the primary influencing force in your child's maturing process. You must feel comfortable that your child is being cared for by persons who will provide a clean, safe and loving day.

"Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Choose your words, for they become actions. Understand your actions, for they become habits. Study your habits, for they become your character. Develop your character, for it becomes your destiny."

Such is the philosophy that motivates our staff who are valued for their skill in working with children and their commitment to the families they serve.

Exceptional Qualities

Short Stuff creates a balance between academic instruction and play, encouraging academic success while fostering an environment where kids can be kids. Our school years begin in September, and the curriculums have been enhanced with creative arts, science, literature and reading readiness.

Allowing children to experiment with colors and textures helps them to develop a sense of self and reinforces the importance of imagination and creativity. Science activities that explore the way things work will allow children to make sense of the world around them and help to develop their grasp of common knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Free Play

Free play is a supervised free-time period conducted outdoors or indoors during inclement weather. During this unstructured segment of the day, situations will be presented to encourage development of large muscle coordination, strength and balance, and social play.

"My three children all attended Short Stuff and loved the experience.  All three of them entered kindergarten with advanced academic knowledge that has made the transition to elementary school smooth and successful.  Thanks, Short Stuff! "
